Acupuncture is one the oldest, most commonly used medical procedures in the world, originating in Asia more than 5,000 years ago.  

The term acupuncture describes procedures involving stimulation of anatomical points on the body by a variety of techniques. It involves penetrating the skin with thin, solid, sterile needles that are manipulated by the hands or by electrical stimulation. Acupuncture aims to restore and maintain health through stimulation of specific points on specific Qi paths of the human body.

Acupuncture and herb specialist, Dr. Kevin Han L.Ac., O.M.D., Ph.D., has over 30 years of practice in Orange County. 

More people are turning to acupuncture due to the undesired side-effects of medications that treat the symptom rather than understanding and treating the source of the problem. Acupuncture aims to restore and maintain health through stimulation of specific points on specific Qi paths of the human body. According to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), the body is seen as a balance between two opposing forces, Yin and Yang. Ailments result in imbalance of these forces which acupuncture and/or herbal medicines strives to restore.
